| | | | | Trains Along The HudsonSpuyten Duyvil Train Station is located in Da Bronx New York, at the northern most tip of Manhattan under the Henry Hudson Bridge, where the Harlem (East) River flows into the Hudson River. When I was young my father took me to the Spuyten Duyvil train station in Da Bronx, NY. As each of my two sons grew up, I took them to see the trains. Today I brought my wife and her camera. At Spuyten Duyvil the Metro North meets up with the old New York Central Water Level Route. The swing bridge is that route and is still used today by Amtrak trains entering and leaving New York City. I hope you enjoy the shots as much as we did visiting the station!

We cover New York City and all the surrounding areas in NY, NJ & CT. METCA is in the process of "reinventing" itself. | | | Westchester Model Railroad Club - O-GaugeThe O Gauge club and the HO club both meet on Monday evenings and have Open House weekends every few months where the layouts are open for visitors to watch the trains navigate the track during special hours on Saturday and Sunday. The O Gauge Layout has THREE mainline tracks winding around the animated towns that dot the landscape. It also is equipted with a staging yard complete with an engine roundhouse and electricly operated turntable. These are special days when the club members operate their most beautiful trains, many at the same time. This is a wonderful time for family fun. Children love to watch the animated Looney Tunes, Simpsons, and SpongeBob cars! Many of the trains have more than just bells and horns. They are equipted with advanced sound systems and remote controls that contain actual recordings of engine sounds including the crew chatting with the tower requesting clearance. |

Jeffrey is a dentist in Ossining, New York. We grew up together as friends. Aunt Carol is Jeffreys Godmother (sorry Jeff, I'd never live it down). Carol and I see Jeffrey on a regular basis. Besides being a life long friend, he is one of the few people that I have met who truly have mastered their craft. Carol is without a doubt the biggest baby (she'll admit it too) when it comes to pain. You have to give her gas just to tell her she has an appointment! But under the artist like hands of Jeff, she is thrilled to go get her teeth worked on. I never thought I'd ever here her say the words "Pain Free" and "Dentist" in the same sentence, but she does now! Jeffery is not alone in the office, he has a fantastic gorup of highly skilled professionals working with him, and best of all they are the nicest, sweetest people you want to meet.
